Introduction to Outbreak Preparedness. West African countries have come together to strengthen their preparedness and response to filovirus outbreaks such as Ebola and Marburg. A four-day regional simulation exercise was held in Dakar, hosted by the Senegal Ministry of Health, Africa CDC, and WHO at the WHO Regional Emergency Hub. ## The Simulation Exercise.
